Meet the Dentists
Michael Malivuk, DDS
Dr. Mike Malivuk joined Powers Dental Group in 1994. He and his family relocated from rural Pennsylvania where he had been in private practice for 12 years.
Dr. Malivuk and his family enjoy the great outdoors and love living in Colorado. In his spare time, you may find him around some of the local fishing hot spots or skiing the mountains of Summit County. He also enjoys riding his dirt bike through the mountains and digital photography.
Dr. Malivuk is a general dentist experienced in all phases of general and family dental care. In addition, Dr. Malivuk has a special interest in orthodontics. Over the past 20 years, he has taken several hundred hours of advanced training and continuing education courses in this area.

Dr. Collin Brones
Dr. Brones joined Powers Dental Group in 2003. He enjoys the great outdoors of Colorado with his wife and two children. The family spends their free time together in the mountains skiing, hiking, biking and boating.
Dr. Brones attended the University of Colorado School of Dentistry and graduated cum Laude.
He completed his General Practice Residency with emphasis on all disciplines of dentistry.

Dr. Steve Crisler
Dr. Steven Crisler joined Powers Dental Group in June 2005. Before joining the Powers Team, Dr. Crisler spent five years serving our country as a dentist in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. He was stationed for three years at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and two years in Colorado Springs at Ft. Carson.
Dr. Crisler attended undergraduate school at BYU and obtained his dental degree at the University of Louisville. Post-graduate education includes a one-year residency in General Dentistry and several Continuing Education courses in all areas of dentistry.
Dr. Crisler has interest and expertise in all aspects of General Dentistry.
Married for 6 years, Dr. Crisler and his wife have a four-year–old daughter and a two-year-old son and are expecting a third child.
Dr. Crisler and his family love the mountains and the outdoors of Colorado, but admit that they miss the ocean and beaches of Hawaii. They enjoy camping, boating, biking, and skiing together.
He attended Brigham Young University and University of Louisville School of Dentistry.
Dr. Donald Morrissey
Dr. Morrissey is the founding doctor of Powers Dental Group. He began his dental practice in Colorado Springs in 1973 after serving three years in the United States Air Force.
Don and his wife, Carmela, have been married for 40 years. They have three adult children and four grandchildren.
Dr. Morrissey is a master craftsman. He enjoys fine woodworking, golf and tennis, and running.
He attended college at the University of Connecticut and the University of Pennsylvania BA Bacteriology DMD School of Dental Medicine.
His special areas of interest and training are: crown and bridge, removable partial denture, full denture, root canal therapy and TMJD Occlusal Adjustment.
Dr. Paul Smith
Paul and his wife have three daughters. They are an outdoor-loving family - backpacking and bicycling together.
Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Minnesota 1995 DDS with high distinction. He has also attended Numerous post-graduate courses of study in Oral Surgery, Dental Implants and Endodontics.
His special areas of interest and training are: oral surgery, dental implants, Endodontics (root canal therapy), and crown and bridge.
